The Start of a New Chapter

Being the youngest of eight siblings, I am used to being bossed around by the elders. I love my eldest brother, though we seldom see each other, he takes good care of me when we are together. I love my brothers and sisters. You can say we have a big family. Though they always ask me to do things for them, I feel loved and taken care of my family. Especially my father he always show his love and care.

During my elementary years, I always get sick. People would not believe that I am a sickly person for I am bulky and chubby. Who would ever think that such kid would be in and out of the hospital at all times. I used to have Monday-Wednesday sickness. Wondering what disease is that. Let me explain it to you. Every week either on a Monday or Wednesday I would have fever in the morning and would not be able to go to school. At around ten in the morning I would feel fine and start playing around the house. So every week I am absent for at least a day in school because of that. No explanation, I would have fever early in the morning and feel fine at around ten in the morning.

For the days that I would be coming home from school, I would immediately leave my bags at the doorway and go change clothes. I would like to play with my dog right away.

"Kamille, before you start playing, come here at the kitchen!" my grandma would shout out. I have afternoon snacks ready in the kitchen. I would follow her and eat the food she prepared. I just love it. Who would not look forward of going home from school. After my snack I would go out at the garage and start playing with my dog or house helpers.

After dinner, I would start working on my homework. If I remember that I have a homework for the day. Even though I have my notebook #1, I just rely on my memory. Most often, I forget that I do have a homework. A typical lazy student. While working on them, I am also watching television. I do not miss any of my favorite TV series. I just like multi-tasking. HA HA HA

With me studying, playing and watching all my favorite TV series; my siblings are all busy on their lives. Though six years is the age gap I have with my older brother, we click. Many are asking how can the two of us get along with such age gap. Maybe it's just that I can adjust to his level and him also. His friends are my friends and vice versa.

Every Sunday father would treat us all for dinner at his choice of restaurant after a movie. Sunday is a typical family day for us. But as our family grew bigger and bigger and father gets older, we would have Sunday lunch at home. With my siblings children, we are a big family. I would play with my nephews and nieces on Sundays. I am two years older than the eldest grandchild. I treat them as my friends though I am older in relation.

I slowly learned to say hi to my classmates. Learn more about them and be my friend. I would stay late at school playing with them. I became more friendly when I took the school bus going home from school. I met a lot of students in different grade levels and even high school students. Learned to get along with them at an early age. It sure is true that there are a lot of kinds of people.
